Writing Punctuation Introduction

Academic Writing

Punctuation

When writing English for academic purposes it is important to punctuate accurately. It is, however, very difficult to produce language which is intelligent, appropriate and correctly punctuated at the same time. It is therefore important, after you have finished writing to carefully read your work and correct your mistakes. This is proof-reading.

Punctuation usually includes capital letters and the punctuation marks – , . ; : ‘ ? ! .
