It must be understood that many students will be studying abroad for the first time and may be likely to feel anxious about the kind of reception they will be given, about the kind of work they are about to have to do or about the accommodation to which they happen to have been assigned. Many of these worries can be allayed by giving them as much information as possible beforehand.
