| A Suggest he should take greater care when making business decisions, and that you think he allows his enthusiasm and ambition to get in the way of his judgment. Point out that before he thinks of applying for other jobs he should prove himself in this one. Explain that you stopped giving him advice because he stopped listening. | ||
| B Say that you do not think he should let one rejection worry him too much and that the reference probably had very little to do with it. Say that he ought to go on applying for other jobs as every company is looking for a different kind of person. |
